I have to admit to all of you that I have been terrified to have anyone read this book. You could say that I’ve been paralyzed with fear to launch The Paralyzed Movement. Isn’t that just fitting?
Truth be told, the lie that I’ve been believing is that my writing sucks. I find myself apologizing for my book before it’s even been released. “This isn’t going to win a Pulitzer prize.” regularly spilling out of my mouth. “Who’s going to want to read the words of such a broken girl?” consuming my constant thoughts.
Wah, wah…right?!
But today, God led me to a verse that really struck me:
“Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes.” – Ephesians 4:23 NLT
Dang, that resonated with me in a big way. And wow, did focusing on that approach work! My thoughts and attitudes have changed. I. Am. Ready.
The fact is, I am a broken girl that has been transformed by God and I have a story to share. And God sure as heck wants me to share it. How can I even doubt that plan? Especially knowing that God helped craft this entire book. He was with me every step of the way when I was writing it.
God used quirky me in all the ways he knew he could. He used my brokenness and the brokenness of others to provide hope in the freedom he has planned for each and every one of us. It is full of my imperfections and his perfections!
You could say it’s perfectly imperfect. Co-written by the Best-Selling Author of all time - God himself. Now those are some super big creds.
So, you could say, I'm over the fears.
I can’t wait to share it with you on October 10th.
